What Is Kava?
Kava is a traditional kava root drink made from the root of the Piper methysticum plant, native to the South Pacific. In places like Fiji, Vanuatu, and Hawaii, kava has been shared in community for generations - used to welcome guests, bring people together, and slow life down for a while. Traditionally served in coconut shells, people don’t just drink kava for the taste - they come for the feeling that comes with it. Easier conversation. A calmer mood. The sense that nobody’s in a rush. At our kava lounge, that same tradition shows up in a more modern way: music playing softly, strangers becoming familiar faces, and conversations that last longer than expected.

The kava bar began during the COVID-19 pandemic – a time when connection and calm felt more important than ever. After trying kava for the first time, we saw how this traditional kava root drink could bring people together in a simple, meaningful way.
From the very first location, the intention was clear: create a non alcoholic bar that feels welcoming, comfortable, and free of judgment. A place where people can slow down, connect, and feel at ease.
